MAKES FOR
TOUGH ICE
FISHING!

The deep snow covering the ice has made it tough on anglers pulling shanty’s and sleds onto the ice.
Mosquito anglers are still taking walleye crappie and perch on the lakes’s north end. Live minnows and jigging spoons tipped with a minnow head are taking both crappie and walleye.
Pymatuning anglers are doing good on perch and crappie with a few walleye mixed in. Mannings landing to Tuttle point has been best. Anglers down near Jamestown are catching crappie and bluegill off the state park near the damn.
Conneaut Lake anglers are taking nice bluegills.
I talked with a fellow the other day who has been taking a mixed bag of crappie, perch, bluegill and redears just west of Congress Rd. on Mogadore. Mogadore is one of Ohio’s best ice fishing lakes for panfish.
Presque Isle Bay anglers are taking both perch and big bluegills.
Fishing off parking lots two and three have been best.
Berlin Anglers fishing off the Old Road Bed just north of 224 are still catching some nice walleyes on vibees.
